SketchRoo was not forged in a boardroom, over a business plan or piles of blueprints. SketchRoo was born a little less traditionally, in a garage. Founder Denver Pereira spent years daydreaming of the day he can make “learning to draw” more accessible to local communities while he imbues those he works with, with his joy of creating art.

We’re a bit…obsessive.
In fact, we’re a little fixated on drawing. We believe, it is our God-given purpose to coax people in the process of learning to be more creative through the work of art.
We’re a family of art-makers. Creative ninjas. Never-been-coaxed-before illustrators.
We don’t just help people find their creative soul. We help them find their creative path. We don’t just deliver workshops. We deliver a medium for self-expression.

Simply said, we coax people to sketch (it’s in our name). At the heart of our organisation are the values we embrace in providing artistic workshops for kids, youth, and care home residents in a safe and nurturing space to explore their creativity and self-expression.
We offer a creative outlet for people of all ages, the means of self-expression through their own discovery and exploration without restraints.

The work is as important as the pleasure we get from helping people find their creative path. Such an authentic work culture isn’t imposed on us, and it’s something that cannot be invented in an online platform. For us at SketchRoo, it appears spontaneously as we are passionate about what we do, and that passion can be felt in every workshop we deliver.

Denver Pereira is a renowned illustrator, specializing in cartoons and comics. More than just an artist, he passionately mentors aspiring creators, guiding them towards crafting their own artistic masterpieces. With an extensive background in illustration, cartooning, and animation, Denver envisions a world where everyone taps into their inner artist. As the Creative Director of SKETCHROO, he's instrumental in bringing this vision to life.
A harmonious blend of artist and mentor, Denver's unique combination of creativity and organization elevates the SKETCHROO team. His calm demeanour is evident as he nurtures others in discovering and honing their distinct artistic styles. Leveraging his rich experience in cartooning for newspapers and magazines, Denver pioneers’ innovative techniques to inspire drawing. All the while, he radiates an infectious enthusiasm for art that energizes everyone around him.
Outside the studio, Denver can be found savouring the beach, immersed in painting, maintaining his fitness, or cherishing moments with family and friends..
